Whatβs new with Rundoo?
Rule-based tiers! These tiers can be configured with specific prices across various vendors, departments, classes, and finelines by dollar, by margin, or by discount.
Why is this important?
Previously, if you wanted to discount a set of products, eg all Ben Moore products (for a tier/group of customers), youβd have to manually set up that price on a per product basis or download the products data and manually edit the price/discount/or margin (eg for thousands of BM products).
Now, you can simply create a new tier that implements a broader price rule that automatically gets applied to all relevant products.
How do you set up rule-based tiers?
Rule-based tiers are set up within Admin: Admin>Customer>Add pricing tier
Similar to custom prices and promotions, you can create a rule by a variety of classifications and pricing strategies. For example, a rule-based tier where all True Value vendor products (164k!) have a 2% discount off the Tier 1 price:
Once saved, within individual product pages, eg any True Value vendor products, youβll see the new rule-based tier with the appropriate price:
What else?
Note that when multiple pricing strategies are at play (eg custom prices, promos, rule base tiers), Rundoo will default to and select the lowest price at checkout.
