What is new with Rundoo?
Weโve added two new features at checkout:
The ability to conduct a a zero cash sale for non charge accounts
The ability to apply a card surcharge or not via an ad hoc checkbox
Why is this important?
Zero cash sales for walks ins can be helpful for things like giving out free samples or moving out inventory thatโs overstocked.
Card surcharge flexibility means you can stipulate when you want to apply a checkout fee for card usage instead of always passing on fees or never passing on fees.
What does this look like?
Zero Cash Sale
Previously, for walk ins/cash sales, there was no option to do a zero cash sale. The workaround was to temporarily 1) assign the walk in to an account, 2) apply finance terms, 3) edit the price of the product to zero (and save), 4) complete the zero cash sale, and then 5) remove the terms.
Now, you can simply enter $0 for cash customers and complete sales. See this video from Vidhan, our product lead, and the screenshots below:
Card Surcharge Checkbox
Previously, there was no option to turn off the card surcharge if it was configured in Admin (>Communications>Card payment fees).
Now, you can turn off the surcharge on a transaction by transaction basis when, for example, you want to not apply for loyal customers or when debit cards are used. See this video from Nolan, our engineer, and screenshots below:
When cards are selected as the payment method:
This optionality is also present on the Receivables payment screen!

Let us know your feedback! We hope these are welcomed updates to better support the wide scenarios at checkout with customers.
