What’s New with Rundoo?
This week, we’re sharing how stores are putting Rundoo AI to work. Since we launched it, we’ve seen some creative uses, and we wanted to pass along ideas you might find helpful.
We’re also rolling out a few smaller updates: easier cash counting at closeout, a new “ Days to Pay” metric for charge accounts, and notifications when autopay fails.
Rundoo AI: Real Questions from Real Stores 🤖
You can ask Rundoo AI questions in plain English. It pulls from your store’s data and gives you answers in seconds. Here’s how stores are using it.
Checking sales performance
Want to know how your team is doing? Or how a product category performed last month compared to this month? Just ask.
Stores have asked things like:
“Who are my top 10 salespeople this month?”
“How did exterior paint sales compare between June and July?”
“When was the last time we sold Wooster 2-inch brushes?”
“Which customers haven’t bought anything in 6 months?”
Generating purchase orders
Rundoo AI can draft a purchase order for you. It looks at your sales history, what you’ve ordered before, and how your sales have grown compared to last year. If you’ve told it anything specific to remember (like “always keep 20 cases of WD-40 on hand”), it factors that in too.
Just tell it what you need:
“Generate my Orgill order”
“Create a PO for True Value products I’m running low on”
It creates a draft PO you can review and adjust before sending.
Tracking inventory turns
Knowing how fast products move helps you buy smarter. Ask Rundoo AI about inventory turns for a product, category, or your whole store.
Finding specific details
Sometimes you need to look up one very specific thing. Rundoo AI can help with that too.

Cash counting got easier
When you close out your register, you can now enter each denomination and see a running total. Type “5*20” and it shows $100. No more mental math or calculator apps.
Average Days to Pay on customer aging
On the Aging tab of any customer page, you’ll now see the average number of days that customer takes to pay their invoices. Helpful for spotting slow payers before balances get too high.
Autopay failure alerts
If a customer’s autopay fails, you’ll now get notified by email, text, and in your Rundoo inbox. No more surprises when a payment doesn’t go through.
