What’s new with Rundoo?
This week we’re sharing a few small, but impactful UI changes:
Expandable tables within Custom Prices and Promotions
Copy changes to navigation buttons
Expandable tables
What does this mean?
Within Custom Prices and Promotions (within the Products page), we’ve added support to expand table columns to display additional data. We’ve also added new data like “Created at” and “Created by”.
Why is this important?
Having the “Created at” and “Created by” columns provide helpful insight into the details of Custom Prices and Promotions to better manage and keep track of non standard pricing strategies.
Expandable tables 1) allow for faster, more organized information gathering and 2) create smoother, more intuitive experiences, and more platform consistency by mimicking the nested columns of other pages like Customers and Products.
What does this look like?
Products > Custom Prices or Promotions
Clicking the “+” in column headers unfurls the column, exposing more relevant data, eg “Created at” and “Created by”
Clicking the “-” in column headers collapses the column
Copy Changes
What does this mean?
“Sales” —> “Transactions”
“Switch to Admin” —> “Admin”
“Switch to POS” —> “POS”
Why is this important?
The update to “Transactions” is part of larger effort slated to launch in the near future around exchanges and negative quantities. “Transactions” is a broader, more inclusive term of the activity that users can and will carry out within Rundoo and it’s important for our pages to reflect that.
The update to simply “Admin” and “POS” removes unnecessary text for more effective microcopy.
